There is more than one way by which you could create a new user account on a Tuiyo enabled site, three of which are described below. These include via the Tuiyo login form, the Joomla component and using your already existing external site. Unlike Joomunity version 1.1.0 (beta) where Authentication and user registration was left maintained solely as a function of the parent Joomla system, Tuiyo takes user registration and authentication to a different level.
Using the Tuiyo Login/Sign-Up form
- From the Tuiyo Welcome Lobby, you should be able to identify a login form similar to that shown here. This by default, has a username field, a password field and a save checkbox to allow users who already have an account to log-in immediately.
- There is no need creating a new account if you have simply forgotten your already registered details, or are not sure if you had already created an account on the site previously.
- Clicking on the “Forgot Log-in details” prompt, will raise a pop up similar to the one shown in figure 2. If you forgot your user name, simply providing your email address will send your log-in details if at all any to your email address. A similar behaviour to the default Joomla system. It is important to note that this only works with users registered to the core Joomla users table, and will not work with multiple sites.
- To create a new account, Clicking on the “Create a new account” prompt will raise another pop up similar to that shown in figure 3.

- Complete the form with all requested details and click create your account. Depending on the administrator registration work flow your user account should now have been created. Note that at this stage that a User account is different from a User Profile in Tuiyo glossary, and you will need to complete the process once your email address is confirmed! This behaviour cannot be changed.
Using the Joomla Sign-Up form
Using the Joomla sign up work-flow is very similar to that described above. However this may vary from site to site
Using an External Profile, Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, OpenID
Signing up using an external profile requires the Tuiyo System plug-in. If you are an administrator, please check that you have the plug-in installed and activated. A quick way to check if the plug-in is activated is by the occurrence of a horizontal bar at the bottom of your page, with various added functionality such as ‘growl-like’ notifications.
